In case you missed it, you can check out our first RSVP Roundup here — and for more festival tips and the full list of parties we’ve posted so far, swing by our special SXSW page.

SXSW 2013 RSVP Roundup: Part 1
If you’re planning to head to SXSW this year, you’re most likely already getting bombarded with party invites, RSVPs, and more than a few unfounded rumors. To help you keep your eyes on the partying prize, we’ll be posting the RSVP info for the best of the bunch each week leading up to the fest — everything in one place, with all the lame stuff filtered out.
Almost all of the events below should be open to the badge-less and wristband-less, and all of them require you to RSVP. We will post even more useful info in the coming days — including the coveted Fader Fort, Hype Hotel and Pure Volume House invites when they become available — so keep checking back.
A few protips for maximum enjoyment:
1) RSVP for everything, even if you don’t think you’ll go. It’s good to have options.
2) We think these parties will be cool, but we can’t guarantee that they’ll deliver on everything they promise in the invite. Show up early to increase your chances of getting the good stuff and to avoid having to stand in line forever. Have backup options in case your first choice is already at capacity.
3) If an invite page says the party is “sold out,” make sure to check again later: Some organizers reopen their lists and start accepting more RSVPs.
Stay tuned to this site, our Twitter feed, and our Facebook page for more RSVP tips, band recs and other SXSW-related goodness. Good luck out there!

SXSW RSVP Roundup 2012: Free Drinks Edition
If you’re planning to head to SXSW 2012, you’ve probably spent the last few weeks getting bombarded with party info. How do you sort it all out? In our opinion, the best place to get started is by RSVPing for the open bar parties. It’s hard to go wrong with free booze.
To help you prepare, we’ve put together a list of the 31 best open bars that have been announced thus far. All of the events below are open to the badgeless and wristbandless, and all of them require you to RSVP. As a bonus, at the bottom of this post, we’ve also thrown in a few other cool events that require an RSVP but aren’t advertising open bars, because hey, you gotta catch your breath sometime. We will post even more useful info in the coming days — including the elusive Fader Fort and Pure Volume invites when they become available — so keep checking back.
Pro tips:
1) RSVP for everything, even if you think you won’t go. It’s good to have flexibility.
2) We think these parties will be awesome, but we can’t guarantee that they will deliver on everything they promise in the invite. Show up early to increase your chances of getting the good stuff and to avoid having to stand in line forever. Have backup options in case your first choice is already at capacity.
3) If you’d like a more comprehensive list of RSVPs, we recommend signing up for SXShhh.com — for $5 you get access to a very slick database of 400+ parties and the ability to keep track of everything you’ve RSVP’d for.
Good luck out there!
